High Solar Co., LTD is founded in October 2022 by Rutger Schoonderwoerd (Dutch) and by Jan van Melle (Thai/Dutch) Both founders have degrees in (electrical) engineering and extensive knowledge of Solar panels and PV systems. And have a combined experience of over 10 years in electrical and solar systems.
What does it cost to get advice on a Solar PV system?
Advise and planning are absolutely free, if you have any questions you are fee to visit the showroom or we can make an appointment to visit you.
Is it even worth getting a solar PV system in Thailand?
Yes, in Thailand the sun shines the entire year. And solar PV production is similar throughout the entire year. With the relatively low costs of materials and labor, most solar PV systems will have a return on investment of between 3 and 5 years.
What is an optimized PV system?
An optimized PV system is a system that requires specific Inverters that allows for optimizers. An optimizer is a small waterproof unit that is attached to each solar panel.

I have a lot of trees and shade can I still use PV panels?
Yes, PV panels require light to enter the panels to produce an electric current. And would still produce electricity.
High Solar would recommend using optimizers in these situations to make sure the system has maximum energy production without one or more panels reducing the production on an entire string.
Would sensitive equipment have problems with solar electricity?
Solar inverters export their electricity in a pure sine wave. This means the power is pure and clean and turns "un-clean" power coming from the electrical grid into a stable and clean wave. This would mean no more power fluctuations while the inverter is delivering power back to your grid. If you have power issues please contact high solar about other solutions like: Power stabilizers and power inverters.
Would I notice the inverter producing solar energy?
No, you wouldn't notice the inverter delivering power back to your grid. Instead, like a fridge that consumes power, a solar system would feed this power from its inverter without you noticing anything.
Do I need to switch on anything each day?
No, the solar PV system automatically starts up when there is enough light and shuts down once there isn't enough light. You wouldn't notice anything and don't need to do anything manually. When you have a hybrid system and use an automatic transfer switch this switching takes about 20ms and you might notice a transfer between the off-grid system and the grid.
What is a string?
A string is a certain amount of solar panels that are connected in series. And this goes into the inverter. The amount of strings a solar system has depends on the inverter.
Does a Solar PV system require maintenance?
A solar PV system doesn't require any maintenance and lasts for decades since there are no moving parts.
What is recommended is a yearly checkup in case of rodents and birds that can damage cables and connectors.
And bi-yearly cleaning to make sure the system has the best energy production and prevent potential production losses.
